Product Nebula - About Our Iterative Product Vetting Process

Products at drawcode have a process that helps to filter good marketable ideas from design to code to market through a three stage process.

Stage 1:

  • Individuals at our location or working with us get ideas and play around with them usually in some new technology or a way to make current technology better. Then they put them in the lab. This is where more work and interest can be gained. Some stuff works, others are good in 6 months to a year, others are just for fun.
  • These items are given LAB status and appear in labs.

Stage 2:

  • More individuals, external interest or work on this project or idea either in direct work or elaboration and business tests to see that it is marketable. If so it is turned into an official project.
  • These items are given PROJECT status at drawcode and appear in projects.

Stage 3:

  • The project either has successive alpha programs or has been used and evolved from client projects into something marketable and usability ready for the real test, boom, pow, bang, the worr-r-rld.
  • Usually these products are in late stage alpha or beta with with users that have been using the product for at least 6 months in live business.
  • These items are given PRODUCT status at drawcode and appear in products.

All this can happen in the window of 6 months to 2 years. For a successful dedicated product launch it takes this amount of interest and time to verify good ideas and test their true marketability.

This is how why you can count on the product development process and implementation at drawcode from our creative engineering and software simplification process that have successfully researched and help launch the early iterations of multiple other companies and products.
